Sorry guys but this place has gone downhill. I know they have signs that indicate it takes a good amount of time to make a grilled cheese sandwich. okay so I would estimate 15-20 minutes max. I have waited numerous times for sandwiches in there for 30-45 even 50 minutes when there's very few people in the store. The last time I was there not only did I have to wait a very long time, I'm talking like 45 minutes for food. There was only three people in the store. The woman who took my order was so rude and when I finally asked her about the food she reached back and looked at food that was on the warmer, which been sitting there for a long time, and it was my food. She said to me oh I'm so sorry we're short staffed, and I responded to her short staffed sure, however my food's been sitting there for about 20 minutes now, that's not a short staffed issue. I got my food to go and took it to my son who works around the corner at the Pleasant Grove Police Department. When he got it the sandwich it was soggy and cold. I used to like this restaurant... Anymore it's not worth going to consider yourself warned!

Been here multiple times with friends and family and it has always been a amazing experience. And when my 2 1/2 year old says the tomato basil soup is "so so so good" I'm inclined to agree.
(5)Jeremy H.
Eaten here twice in the last two weeks. Got the apple-bacon-cheddar sandwich once and the turkey bacon avacado sandwich once. Both were exceptional! Based on feedback from others in my parties, everything they serve is very good. Do yourself a favor and eat here!
(5)Shannon L.
So good! I went with my sister and we got two sandwiches to share. Both the ABC and Thanksgiving sandwiches were amazing
(5)Amy L.
Delicious! Well worth the time for the sandwich to be made. I love The Gourmet with a root beer float. My daughter likes the tomato pesto sandwich best and my husband chooses the Turkey Bacon Avocado. Served on thick sliced French bread, it's perfect. Wheat bread and gluten free are options too.
(5)Charles H.
The turkey bacon avocado I had was fantastic! The turkey was nice and thick. Toast was crispy. Very well done. Will be returning!

Gluten free Thursday's? Wow! That means I get even more choices. The cheesy potato soup and mac and cheese are part of the menu. Wait! I did say these are also gluten free. Why not order both? These joined the table with Monte Cristo, Kiss, Pulled pork and an Abc. The abc is actually sliced green apples with the bacon and cheddar cheese. That surprise was light, refreshing and filling! The other sandwiches were giving rave reviews at the table. Now for the soup! This was claimed to be the best potato soup ever!!!! High praise indeed! The Mac and cheese was creamy, peppery and consumed quickly. Angie was on hand to make sure everything was perfect. The staff is helpful as well as friendly. We are thrilled we made the journey again! Fabulous!!
(5)Jennifer G.
That was a pretty good grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was perfectly toasted-meaning plenty of butter. Yummy melted cheese. My boys had the blt. - and said they didn't really like grilled cheese sandwiches before but they've changed their minds. Tomato soup to dip was the perfect touch.

I have eaten quite a few French Dips in my life - as it is one of my favorite sandwiches. I heard Cravings had a grilled french dip sandwich and was recommended by a coworker, so I went to try it. It blew my mind!! I felt like every other french dip I had in my life was garbage compared to this work of art!! This sandwich has an incredibly moist & flavored beef that has been slow roasted to perfection, combined with delicious cheese, on a toasted, buttered and seasoned bread (with a hint of garlic) with delicious au jus. After I had this sandwich for the first time, it was all I could think about for days until I got another one. I highly recommend this sandwich if you haven't had it yet! I have read a couple of complaints from people about Cravings Bistro not having Alisha's Craving Cupcakes, but the two shops are literally less than a block away. So after you're done eating your sandwich, take the one minute walk over to Alisha's and pick up a delicious cupcake to round out your meal- it'll be well worth the effort.
(5)Linda Z.
Get the ABC! You will not regret it. The gooey 6 got rave reviews from our teen boys. Really nice staff!
(5)Steve D.
Pretty good food. A little on the spendy side for a sandwich but I left full and satisfied. I'll be back
(5)Lori S.
The food is excellent, but service could be better. The cashier who took my order was on the phone and not very attentive. The fountain machine was out of syrup on the diet dr. P. I let someone know, it was never taken care of while we were there. Improve your service please.

I was really close to giving this place a 5 because of the quality of food I received, but I have to knock off a star for the customer service. They have been open at this location for about 3 months so maybe there is a new staff. It took me 5 minutes for the cashier to take my order when i knew exactly what I wanted. He was trying to tell me i couldn't add anything onto a sandwich because they are pre made i nicely told him they can open the sandwich and add on ingredients and i offered to pay extra and someone had to take a minute to help him out. I get it they are new completely understandable. But the worker's seemed almost careless and didn't have a pronounced sense of urgency so I had to wait 5 minutes for my lemonade which is fine but I was almost done drinking it because i had to wait 15 more minutes for a sandwich (The lemonade is fresh squeezed and it was so yummy and refreshing! ). The "Mediterranean" was incredible don't get me wrong. But I had to stuff it in my face because i had to get back to work. I used to work in the food industry at a bagel shop and i know sandwiches take time especially if you have to grill them but I would get in trouble with my boss if anything took longer than 6 or 7 minutes. The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice. The menu was hand written, very tiny. I had to get out of line to read it and i have good eyes. I recommend it for families because of the many different choices for children. Also it ca be a great hangout for teenagers or college kids to talk and socialize. It is very modern and a hip new place. I love the idea of different types of gourmet grilled cheeses and soup. The tomato soup was incredible btw! I know my husband will love this place I will return, definitely. I will just make sure I have enough time to wait for my food.

So good! My favorite place for my favorite comfort food! The tomato soup with the grilled cheese croutons and the monte cristo is a must try!
(5)Eat Your Heart Out ..
The buttery crust gives way as your teeth sink into confidently cheddar, cheddar cheese. Your taste buds, lost in momentary bliss, hesitate at the presence of tart apples but quickly welcome their exotic friend. Your shoulders sink, your body relaxes. The flavors swell within you as you take a deep breath. Wait! Who's there? You sense an earthy sweetness, one that you've felt before. Ah ha--candied brown sugar bacon. It's warm presence swirls past your tongue, triggering a small grin. You let out a deep, "Ohh!" as your eyelids flutter in satisfaction. You pause to relish. - read my full post at eatingisthebest.blogspot…

Ordered the Mac'n Cheese sandwich off of staff recommendation. Pot roast, mac'n cheese, all on a grilled cheese sandwich! The wait for the sandwich was a little long but it came out hot and not soggy at all so I quickly got over any impatience. I've been to other grilled cheese shops but this one had a ton of choices and everything looked delicious. Still unclogging the arteries but this place is a must if you're in the area. Only true complaint was the noise. All hard surfaces so everything echoed, especially the kids fighting at the next table. Do something to cut down on the echo/noise and you're golden. (But the food was absolutely worth it).

I love Cravings Bistro. It is everything a local restaurant should be. Great food, excellent staff, awesome atmosphere. Angie Wilson, the owner, knows exactly what she is doing. I have been a faithful patron of Cravings for years. I have enjoyed great grilled cheeses; the Colby Cabana, Deep Fried Monte Cristo, the Thanksgiving Dinner (my all time favorite), to name a few. Tonight I tried the Shamrock. It was delicious! Angie consistently serves up excellent food. My kids love the Mac & Cheese with bacon and the Pizza grilled cheese sticks. I have and will continue to recommend Cravings Bistro to family, friends, coworkers, and complete strangers!
(5)Teena A.
The Tomato Pesto grilled cheese sandwich was so delicious! Can't wait to try more on the menu.
(5)Rob H.
I went here to grab a sandwich to go for lunch at 1:00. The sandwiches really are very good. They deserve a 4+, but the service is rough. I don't want to hack the review for something that they can easily fix. There is a sign that states "When you're asking yourself what's taking so long, remember it's GREAT food, not FAST food". I get that, but I don't understand why it takes 15 minutes plus to place an order. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I really want the small local biz to succeed but people are going to get frustrated with a 45 minute plus sandwich experience. Again, the food is fabulous but they need to figure out how to take the order quicker and get the sandwiches melting!

Since I'm crazy about it's sister company, cravings cupcakes, we thought we would try this place. I'm glad we did! We went around 8 on a Thursday during PG's promenade at the park. There was one or two other tables. The decor is simple, what I like to call Pinterest-cutesy. Service was excellent. The girl knew her sandwiches, what to suggest, ingredients etc. This place is very affordable too thank goodness because I feel like I want to eat there everyday. We went with the special (ham and pepper jelly grilled cheese) and the ABC grilled cheese. They both were amazing. The textures were fabulous. They came out pretty fast too. Truly-- some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. I ordered petit sized and was contemplating ordering another one it was that good. My husband's came with the tomato soup dipper, which is a genius idea. It was really good! Hubby said "too basily" but as someone who cooks for said husband, his idea of enough basil is no basil at all. I liked it. I ordered a combo so I got Mac and cheese as a side. Let me tell you it is a nice sized side. It had bacon on top which added good flavor and texture. *however* The mac and cheese was so peppery, it was borderline inedible. You could see how much pepper was in it-- it was a ton. I have a pretty high tolerance for pepper and spices, more than a lot of Utahans (because I'm a New Yorker LOL), and it.was.a lot. Don't get me wrong, I still ate it because that cheese (mmm) but a little note to who makes it: less pepper! (Maybe it wasn't the usual recipe, or more likely a mistake, other wise it could be as scrumptious as the sandwiches.) Also-- would love to see a GF bread sandwich option. Or maybe they have it and I didn't see. I love the GF cupcakes at cravings cupcakes. I will absolutely go back as I realize the pepper issue could have been a one time thing. I think next time I'll order two or three half sandwiches (petite size) because every sandwich on the menu I would love to try. The two sandwiches we had were pretty orgasmic. I almost want to drive the five minutes to get one for dinner....wait why am I still typing.. Gotta go! ;)
(4)Andy C.
Nice little hole in the wall. The Monte Cristo is killer! Turkey cranberry salad was very good. I'm a lobster bisque fanatic and theirs is good but not memorable - I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Prices are fair and portions good.
(4)Catherine W.
Fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches. Tried the ABC (apple, bacon, cheddar) and it was tasty. Would definitely go again.
(4)Keisha W.
My husband & I love this place! We live only a few blocks away, so we have to limit how often we go. I have tried several of their sandwiches, and they have all been very good. My go to favorite has to be the Grilled Mac & Cheese. It is homemade mac and cheese, topped with cheddar cheese, pot roast, and then bbq sauce. Very delicious! My husband always gets the Monte Cristo. He will not get anything else. It is very good. They do have side options. I have tried to soups, and they have always been great. The side salads are just basic side salads. But their crotons are adorable mini grilled cheeses! We have gotten the giant cookie sundae once, and it was amazing. We rarely stay and eat there. It is extremely echo-y. It is an older wooden building with wooden floors, and exposed wooden rafters. With all wooden furniture. Of course it will be echo-y. There are a handful of tables out front that do offer a pleasant escape from the noise. And yes, it is a longer wait then what people may expect, but it is 100% worth it.

Stopped for a family dinner on a Saturday evening before driving up the canyon. We try to eat unique foods when we travel- this pretty much screams "Utah." Thick white bread, lots of cheese, funky painted mismatched furniture that looks like it came from the local thrift store, and super friendly service. The kids enjoyed the KISS, pizza sticks, and ham and cheese. Hubby loved his monte cristo, and my protein salad was just as over-the -top as the grilled sandwiches. We didn't try any desserts, but enormous sugar cookies, grilled twinkles, and over flowing cookie sundaes sure look locally authentic! Yummy, rich, and friendly.
(5)Robert K.
Delicious. Difficult for conversations. The food nails it. Monte Cristo was perfectly prepared. Room full of children throwing constant tantrums in the corner, kind of disturbing. May as well be dining in a McDonald's play place.

I first was introduced to Cravings Bistro through their food truck while walking through a farmers market in Provo. They gave me a free sample and that is when it started. I then visited their location with a small group and we ordered 4 different sandwiches but all got the same result: AMAZING. Anytime I have the time and I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by and grab one of their delicious sandwiches! I had them cater my wedding because it was so good and they did an awesome job. All of my guests loved it and were completely surprised. Cannot say enough good things about the place. The owner, Angie, makes the visit even more worth it. Great owner and great staff. Fun Fact: I'm lactose intolerant lol, and I still keep coming back to this place.
(5)Julia W.
First time here! We loved it. We ate the ABC sandwich and the tba. Grilled cheese for grown ups! The tomato basil soup was delish. More filling sandwiches than we expected and everyone around us appeared to be ordering the soda-floats... so they must be grand.
(5)Jason B.
If you like grilled cheese sandwiches, this is your place. Upscale grilled cheese options. I got the manly size. It was massive. Couple that with the tomato basil cup of soup and I'm stuffed. Reasonable prices. We'll come back soon and try other items.
(5)Rob J.
Amazing. The service was great and the food was awesome. It's basically a grilled cheese specialty place with a few unique cheesy entrees thrown in. I had the abc (apple bacon cheddar) and my friend had the monte Christo. Both were amazing. I'm excited to go back and try some new things. I also had there lemon aid which was awesome, but a little pricey. Come try it out. Horrible parking, but that's no reason to dock them for that. It's not a dive, maybe you'd call it a hole in the wall, but for sure a gem
(5)Makenzie L.
We came while they were training and so I know it will be a bit different atmosphere than normal. But we we're told about Cravings by friends and they did not disappoint! I got the ABC sandwich and my husband got the one with turkey, ham, and raspberry jam. I liked mine but I loved what he got! The flavors are so unique and blend together so well! I will definitely be coming back!
(5)Natalie W.
Really enjoyed the French Dip I had my first time there. Normally they get a bit too soggy, but with it being a "grilled cheese" it took it to the next level. The menu had so much variety it was hard to choose between all the awesome-sounding food. Looking forward to going back and trying more.
(5)Alyssa D.
So good ! I highly recommend the thanksgiving sandwich, service was a little slow but the staff was very friendly.
(5)Bobby H.
I've been hearing about this place for quite sometime. I'm not the hugest grilled cheese fan, but I thought I would give it a whirl. There menu is huge by the way.. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out what I wanted.. I went with the turkey dinner grilled cheese. It had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and a cranberry sauce topping. It wasn't anything amazing, but it was pretty darn good. They could do a little better with the mashed potatoes, they seemed instant. The white bread was yummy and the cheese was great. I also ordered a cup of soup. The special was tortillas soup.. And oh my. It was delicious! The flavors were great! Overall the meal was great and I expect to be back to explore the menu further. A great place and I'm sure I will be heading back often as the weather cools down. Grilled cheese and soup on a cold winters day is a recipe for success!!
(4)Ian C.
I would not typically recommend consuming the amount of cheese that is standard on the gooey 6 cheese sandwich. Thus, I brought a friend and we swapped half of it! I think I need to go back to try monte cristo and the ultimate protein salad, oh and definitely the turkey bacon avocado. This first time we just tried the gooey 6 and the super gourmet (addon avocado at cost, it was really tasty) with the tomato soup combo option. They are not slow. I've had slower service at comparable but more chain style eateries around utah county. Just wanted to refute that complaint that I've seen on their reviews. The place was almost full 30 minutes before closing and I hope they do that much business pretty consistently because they are above average. Bumped from 4 to 5 for kids menu and kid friendly area in the corner.
(5)Alex S.
This place has the best French dip I've ever had. And it's a great price too. They have a great environment at their restaurant and I love that they have toys for kids. My only complaint (and I know it's really trivial) is that I HATE their napkins. With all the cheese and grease I go through about 25 napkins in one meal. I talked to the owner/manager about it and she said she's heard that before and will look into other options. She was friendly and professional. They will get a 5th and final star from me when they get better napkins!! But I still love this place even if they don't.
(4)Lars R.
Great fare for the price. Go for the French Dip or Grilled Mac & Cheese. Monte Cristo was good, but the French Dip & Mac & Cheese were amazing. We ordered a large order of the 4-cheese Mac to share after our sandwiches and it went fast!
(5)Valerie C.
I'm a huge fan of cheese and butter and bread, so there's really no way that this place could go wrong. I love the little dipping sizes of soup, just perfect. I had the gourmet and my husband had the Apple bacon cheddar. Good, yummy comfort food.
(4)Hunter C.
I've been here a few times now and have always had a good experience. Each time I've had something different and it's all been good. Knocked off one star for the high prices. It's a bit higher than most comparable places but not enough to keep me away.
(4)John C.
I think I had the best tasting grilled cheese in my entire life. I don't know how they cook that bread so perfectly? This place is always consistent and awesome. The BLT was great too and as usual the Monte Cristo is always a hit.
(5)Clint M.
First time going, had the turkey bacon avocado (TBA) and the ultimate protein salad. The TBA was awesome all around, great combo of all the elements, and the temperature was perfect. We came in 30 minutes before close and it was sparse but the food and service was excellent nonetheless. The Salad and chicken tasted homemade in a good way. The cookie was decent.
(4)Amelia R.
Best grilled cheese I've ever had hands down. Plus their tomato soup is amazing and comes with a grilled cheese in it! Prices are good too.
(5)Nate P.
How does one justify paying almost $9 for a grilled cheese sandwich? When you're at Cravings Bistro! Always up for a culinary adventure, I opted for the Sunday Dinner, manly size. Never had it occurred to me to fuse tender roast beef, creamy mashed potatoes, and stewed carrots in a sandwich, but I truly wish I had. The flavor and texture actually worked very well, and the cheddar kept the whole concoction glued together so it really wasn't messy at all. With a side of tasty gravy, it was everything you'd ever want in a Sunday dinner, any night of the week.
(5)Lucky B.
I usually get the ABC (apple, bacon, cheddar) but lately the Monte Cristo (turkey, ham, raspberry jam) has been calling to me. The tomato-basil soup is my all-time favorite I've ever had! It comes piping hot, so be careful with those first sips! I'm also a big fan of the sugar cookies with their fluffy goodness and right amount of not too sweet frosting. Call ahead if you're in a hurry because each sandwich is made to order with quality ingredients! Oh, there are different daily specials that are a good deal!
(5)Dana C.
This is not your mama's grilled cheese. This is a glorious grilled cheesus sandwich and totally worth the trek to Pleasant Grove. My favorite sandwich is easily the grilled mac n cheese. The short rib was cooked to perfection and everything about it was concocted so lovingly. I could just tell. The combos are also great, because you can try their candied bacon mac n cheese or their tomato bisque dippers. AWESOME! Nice spot if you're looking to indulge. They also have GF options if you're into that!
(4)Al D.
Man, I've never had a better gourmet grilled cheese!! The tomato basil soup was amazing. You should do this!! Yummy!
(5)Ryan T.
Excellent. Many unique sandwiches with high-quality ingredients and savory flavors. Soups are good, too. And very inexpensive. Cool place inside, lots of seating. Only downside is no Coke Zero. This is a once-a-week kind of place.
(5)Drew P.
The French dip is awesome. The bread absorbs the au jous nicely without getting soggy. The other things I've had here are equally good they are unique without trying too hard. Their creative takes are good without being weird for the sake of being different.
(4)Vinnie T.
Awesome food. Love the sandwiches and the soup. I would give it 5 stars but the place is freezing cold and they have the worst spoons I have ever used. Can anyone's mouth get the soup out of that spoon? Did I mention that the sandwiches are really good? My current favorite is the TBA!
(4)Ryan S.
There grilled cheese are to die for. I had the 6 cheese regular and the gourmet Mac and cheese. It was enough food for 2 people and at a super good price. They even had little toys for my 1 year old to play with. It's definitely family friendly and the food is delicious.
(5)Christy W.
Monte Cristo is fabulous!! But the best part was the Tomato Basil soup, OMG the best I have ever tasted!!
(5)Chelsea N.
My hubby said best grilled cheese he's had. We got the monte cristo with real pulled turkey, and amazing raspberry jam, and turkey bacon avocado. We also got the soda floats that were really good (orange soda was best and that's coming from root beer lover)
(4)Tatiana G.
I love grilled cheese and I have since I was little, but this is grilled cheese to the next level. I get the TBA (turkey, candied bacon, avocado) and it is a little piece of heaven on earth. They take their time making these sandwiches which is why they are so good. It is totally worth waiting for these masterpieces. If you're in PG and want an awesome sandwich, definitely give this place a try.
(5)Chelsea D.
Wow. Just wow. I'm a SLC-er that commutes to Utah County for work, and I'm a little jaded against everything on the south side of the county line. This gem has proved me wrong. Between the 2 of us, we had the jalapeno popper grilled cheese, tortilla soup, monte cristo sandwhich and mac and cheese. Everything tasted fresh. The bread was perfectly buttery and crispy. The turkey on the monte cristo was thick chunks of meat (think Kneaders turkey). Simply delicious and reasonably priced. I will be a frequent diner. #mouthgasmic
(5)Marissa H.
Cravings Bistro is a nice place. I have only been there a few times so far, but I have had nice experiences. I love the location, it is pretty clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Depending on when you go it can be quiet and peaceful or buzzing and fun. The service is good. Whenever I go, I order the Tomato Pesto grilled cheese. This sandwich is so delicious! I know a lot of people like this item, but I personally I do not like the tomato basil soup. It's a little pricey, but I do like this place and if you have some time and are craving a great grilled cheese I suggest you go and try it out. You'll find yourself in bliss during those magical cheese stretch moments.
(3)Alisha N.
Hands down best grilled cheeses in the world! These aren't your kiddie grilled cheeses she makes them with a super soft French bread with real cheeses not American cheese! The tba aka the turkey bacon avocado is my favorite! She makes the turkey everyday, not sandwich turkey it's real oven roasted turkey! I love dipping it in the tomato basil soup! Holy cow the soups are amazing too! Also another favorite is her protein salad! If your trying to eat healthier this is what you should get! It's so good you forget it's healthy!!!!!!! It's a definite must!!!!
(5)Andrew B.
Best sammiches ever. EVER. There are so many options and every new sandwich I try is as good as the last. The homemade desserts are incredible and the atmosphere is very laid back and mild.
(5)Jeff S.
I was getting work done on a car and had time to kill... so I looked up places to grab a bite to eat. I saw reviews of a Monte Cristo sandwich, which I've been craving since the last time I was at the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland. So, I thought why not? It isn't deep fried, like Disneyland's, but WOW, was it good! That's all I had, but I'm thinking that pretty much anything here would be good. Just a gut feeling. The place is nice and comfortable and the restrooms are clean. Great customer service too. Very happy and would recommend!
(5)Darrell A.
It's an above average cheese sandwich place for sure. I'm not sure why I ordered the tomato soup but I did and it's one of my favorite things there!! Definently try this place out you cheese sandwich lovers
(4)Tasya H.
I love their Monte Cristo. This is the first restaurant in a very long time that I cannot get enough of their food. I go there as often as I can.
(5)Lisa K.
The Monte Cristo was fantastic! Fairly quick for as foofy as it is. If you have a big group there is not a lot of seating.
(5)
